using an Aqua Dec floor former. A wet room
is more than an attractive addition to your
property, it offers a completely level floor - ideal
for wheelchair access or where a user finds stepping
up into a normal shower cubicle difficult.
With its
in-built gradient, an Aqua Dec floor former eliminates the
problems associated with creating a durable
steady slope in the floor that will guide water
towards the outlet gully.
Cleverly designed 'trap
adapter' waste outlets are available to suit tiled
or vinyl covered surfaces with options for the
direction of the waste pipe
under the floor. Simple to
install and easy to
clean, the 4" stainless grill supplied for a tiled
surface finishes the installation to a high
standard.
Aqua Dec floor formers are made from
extremely strong GRP (glass reinforced plastic) and
are therefore highly durable enabling them to
accommodate the extra weight of a carer if necessary.
If you are using vinyl to cover
your shower room floor the installation will
naturally be waterproof when completed.
If however you prefer the
finish of a tiled floor and walls it is recommended
that you tank the shower area with
Tilesafe
Membrane for long-term assurance against water
